  • A national network. TruVisit Virginia is part of a 10-city TruVisit network with uniform protocols — useful for relocation cases and out-of-state parents using virtual supervision.

What our reports include

  • Session date, time, location, and participants
  • Arrival and departure times for each party
  • Timestamped factual observations throughout the session
  • Verbatim quotes where material
  • Any redirections or early terminations and the reason
  • The child's observable demeanor and engagement, described factually

What they do not include: opinions, recommendations, or advocacy. If you need the supervisor's observations in evidence, the report is designed to be admissible-friendly and the supervisor is available for testimony.

Testimony and subpoenas

Supervisors maintain their contemporaneous notes and can testify to their observations if subpoenaed. We ask for as much notice as possible and will coordinate scheduling through your office. Testimony time is billed at our standard hourly rate.

Drafting the order: language that helps

When you have input on the order's language, specificity prevents disputes later. Consider addressing:

  • Who pays, and in what split
  • Frequency and duration of sessions (our minimum session is 2 hours)
  • Approved location types (community-based, virtual, or both)
  • Any prohibited topics or persons
  • Report distribution — who receives reports and when
  • A step-down pathway, if contemplated

How to refer a client

Submit the case inquiry form with your client's information, or use the attorney referral form. A coordinator responds within 24 hours, runs intake directly with the client, and copies your office on scheduling and reports as directed. Attorney communication is included at no charge on every case.
